I bought a banana tree last year that has been in a pot and has been doing great until recently when it bore two babies that seem to be taking over and so the main stalk is dying. The babies are attached to the main root just under the soil. In order to seperate them I would have to break the roots. Does anyone have advice on what I should I do?
