I thought it might be nice to see photos of the plants that people are actually growing. Here is a photo of my banana plant:

Here is a closeup of a two year old Ensete ventricosum trunk. It's outside in a very foggy summer coastal climate, so in a warmer place the growth would be even greater. In a local heated greenhouse there are some about 30 feet tall, and bigger stalk than you can wrap your arms around.

here comes the hurricaines... rain already killed 2 of my baobabs. i moved them under a big oak tree hopefully it provides some shelter

Here is one of my plants. I have a total of 4 different varieties.

It is an offsrping of my first banana plant which I have no idea what variety it is. It was given to me.

plants are still growin.. heres my banana trees. theres 1 vanilla bannana tree in the middle but its still small
