I just recieved a packet of passionflower seeds. I planted them in peat, kept them watered and warm - nothing. I tried germinating them in a paper towel - nothing. Can anybody give me any advice on germinating these things?

They are a real pain for me too. I read that they have germination inhibitors in them, so they must be soaked. Have you tried germinating them in a zip lock with moist peat moss? This method seems to work well for hard to germinate seeds, and worked for my passiflora seeds. Expect anywhere from a week to over a month for germination..

I haven't tried the peat moss and and zip lock bag. Thankfully I didn't use all the seed in my first attempt. I'll use the rest of the seeds and try that method. Thank you very much

I bought a Columbian yellow Passionfruit and I planted seeds inside and they didn't go anywhere but I put them outside in a humidity dome during end of July and they sprouted in a couple of weeks, some are still sprouting, they had been soaked for about 4 days or so and dried for a couple weeks before planting, don't know if that did anything for them.
