Once again I'm wondering where the time went as I look at the clock and notice it's almost midnight. I spent a good part of the day installing and testing our new tropical forum. If you need any help etc. drop me an email.

Cheers!

Stijn

great idea to start this , best way of getting the forum populated is by using it , this will make the search engines recognize some key words and will send new people to it when doing a search , so it is up to us to do this.

This is pretty interesting. It's a good idea to have a place to talk about growing plants, ordering seeds, etc.

Hey Stijn, Thanks for takin the time to work on this for us. I have been buying stuff from these guys forever and they rock. There was no such thing as the internet when I started buying banana trees and seeds from them, they never have failed me in any way, In fact, I have a plant that is a decendant of one bought from them at least from 1986.

One thing, I have been trying to get seed from the "Chinese banyan" tree for 20 years, never see them, went to Hawaii and brought them back and none grew.Bought "Indian banyan" but when it grew out, was not the same plant. These seed are tiny and maybe difficult but that's part of the challenge. Thanks again.

Wow Guru, you went all the way to the Islands to get your seed? Or where you there on vacation already? I visited there once before it was great, went surfing and scuba diving. hahaa Now I'm in the crapy freezing cold US weather ahhaa. God, I would have so many tropical plants growing if I lived in the Islands!

Its botanical name is Ficus retusa. We don’t offer it currently, but will probably offer seeds in about 10 months. The seeds are extremely small and lose viability quickly; so if you do order them when we get them make sure to plant them immediately.
