I'm sorry, but for the last several days, I have been receiving page 3 of 3 listing new posts, but there are no posts there... pages 1 & 2, yes, but page 3 is empty. (???)

GioGio, Phil, and the tropical Eye,

I take it that you all live in Toronto and one of you in the beaches. you may already know this but I recently went to 9 Leslie street ( the sewage treatment plant) on Sturdays between 7 and 12am and got a load of free compost. Packed it around the Bananas and the bamboo and it has taken off. Probably a combination with the warm weather but thought that you would like to know about the free compost. Here is the link to it.

copy and paste this into your browser.

Martin

PS - got three new shoots on the bamboo

I like good dirt!

Hi Martanzio

Thanks for the information. I know of the services that the City of Toronto offers. I have used it in the past. I did not care for it seen we found bark, platics and other products in the dirt. Know I buy my soil to add to the garden.

I also have new shoots coming up.

Ciao

Good point I'll look at the soil more carefully. Bark isn't good? What kind of tropical plants do you have in your garden as i am looking to add some more.

I presently only have bananas, rubro, Nuda, and Golden crookstem Bamboo. As well as three kinds of Giant Cana's.

Thanks for the heads up on the compost

I like good dirt!
