Hi,

Does anyone know a good contact @ the Banana Tree to discuss an Order Issue with? If at all possible, hopefully an email address?

I have tried three times to use the online Customer Support form but have been met only with silence. I've tried emailing the support email address (the only other method of contact I could find) but have not gotten a response from that avenue either. I tried webmaster, administrator and sales @ banana-tree.com and all of those addresses bounced. I even tried to call once, but could not reach a real person, and I don't have the ability to usually call during business hours.

Thanks for any help,

-j

Hi Batou2501,

Unfortunately, no one has answered, even privately, to my request for a contact.

It's really quite disappointing - it has been impossible to reach anyone to discuss a problem I had with a recent order.

I placed an order in mid-December for a few items, including a Musa Basjoo banana tree. I requested that the order be sent to my local residence (which happens to be in New England.) After placing the order late Friday evening, I found out that I would be unexpectedly out of town that next week. I promptly (that Saturday) contacted the Banana Tree via their online support form requesting that if they were going to deliver the plants prior then Thursday, I would need to supply an alternate shipping address - conversely, if the plants were going to be delivered Thursday or later no action was necessary because I would be back in town.

I never received any response, but assumed that they had processed the request and were going to delay shipment until I returned.

I returned Wednesday night late to find a frozen shipment on my doorstep. Of course my banana didn't appreciate the ten degree day in the middle of a New England winter.

I've tried countless ways to contact the Banana Tree company to discuss this order. I'm a rational guy, but there are a few things that bug me about this - (1) they never responded to a customer inquiry in the first place that would have prevented all of this (2) the delivery didn't even require a person to sign - so even if I was home, and I was ready to receive the package, I still would have had a dead plant because UPS always leaves the packages at the door unless requested to obtain a signature (3) after three weeks of trying to contact the company, I am more than a little upset at the customer support provided.

Anyway, has anyone on this forum been in contact with some one directly from the company? Can anyone provide a contact?

Thanks in advance,

-j

HI All
I am new here but recently placed an order with them via website on 1/22/06 and the very next day I decided I wanted to change something on my order and I called them direct at phone support number and reached a live person. The gentlemen I spoke with was very helpful in answering all the questions I needed answers too. So for all you who need to speak to someone live here is the number I used (610)253-9589. In case your wondering I am from Chicago and I called them @ 10:00 am Monday 1/23/06.
Good luck !!
Wayne

Well I ordered three different types of banana pups and they told me they receive new pups every two weeks from around the world and they ship them out immediately when they receive them to any destination of your choice. It has been one week since I placed my order so I will keep you posted as too how long it takes for me to receive my order.

Well, I can't say much for their online service, but I did have the chance to call and talk to someone at the number posted higher in this thread. They happily sent me a replacement plant which I planted last night.

The lesson of the story seems to be, (1) the company doesn't patrol these boards, as I never got an answer from anyone affiliated with Banana Tree (2) the online help form on the website doesn't seem to be an effective way of reaching them either. If you need to talk with them, it seems the phone is the only way.

Cheers,

-j
