I was visiting my brother in CA in July of 2004 and he took us to Fisherman's Warf in SF. When we were walking down the nearby street there were these HUGE palm trees and I noticed seeds on the ground. Well, I picked up 3 and put them in my pocket and told my brother I was going to grow them in Missouri. He laughed and said they wouldn't grow in MO. Well, I didn't know anything about germinating seeds and just stuck them in pots and kept them watered. Well, a couple months later, they sprouted. Almost two years later, they are not huge, thanks to some squirrels eating on two of them. I have no idea what kind they are, I asked my brother to take a picture of the ones in SF the next time he goes there. Just wanted to share. Mike
