The last couple years I've been living in a 4 season climate so spring, summer is pretty much my tropical outdoor growing season. I had a pretty good luck growing tropicals this summer. My space was limited though to growing in only pots and containers since my "garden" is on a deck at my apartment. I found that even though I didn't have much room I did have lots and lots of sunshine since I'm above the canopy of the local trees. This intense all day long sunlight helped a lot I think with my tropical plants since there was zero shade ahhahaa. I did have to watch very closely though because of the sunlight and the limited water holding ablites of pots to make sure the plants didn't get dry.
I'm missing Tuson,Az though, very much sunshine! Hope your summer was succefull too?

We had a good year at our house, lots of new additions to the garden this year; I'm currently in the process of potting and bringing a bunch of things inside.

Not bad here, I am a pro now at growing in containers since I'm living in an apartment this year.

Pretty good summer if I disregard the hurricanes (3). Got a few sweet potatoes and some herbs like parsley and basil. A few brandywine tomatoes and many cherry. A friend gave me some Hedychium and Costus gingers, Tecomaria (Cape honeysuckled) and Podranea r., and got a Hibiscus mutabilis from my sister. All doing well so far.
