extreme novice

...in one area anyway. I strated with three banana palms and they are doing good (maybe too good). After three years of growth, they have come back this spring with anywhere from 9 - 12 growths at each of the 3 original sites. Is there some way I can safely split these and transplant elsewhere in the yard?

Make sure that the pups get to at least 12 inches high and have their own root system. Do not seperate if the pup is still dependant on the mother's corm. If the pup does have a good root system then simply put a sharp shovel through the corm between the Mother and pup.
