Thanks for all your help. I was also making mulch with a machete but it was not as finely chopped as I wanted so I let it dry out well and tossed it in a 55 gal. open top plastic drum. Then I went at it with my string trimmer. At first it turned up quite a bit of dust (close your eyes). I sprayed it with a little water and I was much less dusty. It worked well and was a lot easier than using the machete. The mulch helps to keep in the moisture which is good now because we have had very little rain in the past few months.
