I live in PA zone 7a. I have a well established Musa basjoo with some pups comming up. What other cold hardy tropicals will look good around the banana to make a compact tropical garden area. Other non-tropicals will also do. Anyone in the North East have any suggestions? Any and all help will be appreciated

I might suggest buying one of those 3' long by 2' wide & 2' deep tubs at Wal Mart and putting some "Yellow Groove Bamboo" in it. DO NOT plant the bamboo directly into the soil as this is a running species.
