I need help!

I have a large sago (approx. 4' of trunk)with two heads. For the last year now, the two heads have not produced any leaves. At the base there are several pups (6-8) that have bloomed and look beautiful, however, the heads have nothing. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Sam

i have a sago as wel and when i take the time to remove the pups every few yrs i get a year of no leaf production because the palm is sending all its energy underground establishing new pups .
its possible yours may be workinng on something underground as well - i would worry to much about it unless it goes on for a few years .
by the way when mine does start to through out leaves it sends the regular amount of leaves out (about 12-15) then about a month later it does it again - guess it tries to make up for lost time :)

i also have a sago which has alot of pups grow from time to time. I find when i cut them back the main sago really has a new lease of life and i get loads of new leaves. It is also growing very tall and is much healthier with the pups removed.
