What's the best way to make sure my Banana plants grow out of the stock I cut the previous Winter? This past Sping my Banana Plants didn't grow out of the cut stock, however new babies shot up. I live in the Central Valley of California where the winter can get down to frezzing on a few days. thanks Richard

i'm new to bananas ... BUT ... do you know that you only get one crop out of the mother banana tree and then you have to cut it down? so you'll get a crop from the pup trees which haven't yet fruited, approximately when they get 25 leaves on them.
