I have a Philodendron with browning leaf tips. When the leafs are young they look healthy however with age the tips dry out and become brown. Does anyone have experience with this and how to help it? Thanks

All the foliage? If all, it depends in your variety. Some Banana plantsproduce weird stuff around them don't cha' know!!??
If it is not according to the variety, maybe there is a problem in your banana plant.

or adding too much fertilizers can cause this symptoms, or the lack of potassium can cause this too. it depends how are you treating your banana plant.

YEAH!!!
Then again, too much fertilizer will burn the leaves, the same with my banana plants. I added too much chemical fertilizer. As a result, 2 leaves have a brown wrinkle on its side. Still, it's alive and healthy, a miracle.

To much fertilizers can cause leaves margin to burn, if the plant overcome the stress caused from the excess of fertilizers it could continue growing, and actually it will grow very fast, but if unfortunately the leader leaf was burned before opening, then there might be a problem, and the leaf might die.

If someone added a lot of fertilizers during irrigation, and he realized that, then the best way to solve this problem is to add a lot amounts of water in order to leach all the extra chemicals found on the root zoon, but still this does not always works.
