Why do the blooms fall off before bananas have a chance to form?

It's the male flower bract. The reddish bracts are needed to protect the female flowers inside it. Once the bracts open, the female flowers start to form the hands and the bracts just dry back. If the flower head is not producing any alive hands, it should be cut off 3 days after the emergence of the last hand so that the energy will go to the fruits in no time.

Thanks

Plant a Banana in Soil;
And Before you know, it will start to grow...
