Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum, and new to Bananas.
I have a "Red Banana". My problem is some of the newer leaves are suddenly developing large brown areas that are crispy. Three leaves ago, the browning started. The latest open leaf is curling in on the outer edges. There is still steady new growth, but the leaf that's coming up now looks like it might curl around the edges too.

Currently about 4.5 feet. I planted it 2 months ago in good quality potting soil in a very very large clay pot.

Daily temperature here in Houston is around 95, and we have quite a bit of humidity. It sits at the edge of the pool, and gets full sun.

I have watered it about 3/4 of a gallon daily since I planted it. I checked with a moisture meter today and the soil (at least the top 12 inches of it) registers as wet.

I use a palm fertilizer on it once a month. (Nursery told me it wasn't picky and to use the palm fert.)

Any suggestions? I would post a picture but I don't know how. Thanks for any help you can give me.
