Hey, i just came to know about this treatment used in Kerela, where the people suffering from kidney stones drink banana latex because it dissolves the stone n passes it out through the urine.... Can anyone tell me more about it????

When I lived in Thailand I heard of people using this for urinary infections. I didn't ask pacifically what was being treated so ? to answer your question. If it works in the urinary track it might work for the stones. It was my understanding that they crushed the stem of the leaf and just drank the juice. I would be careful and only use a small amount until you are sure that your system can handle it. Some time things work for them and not for us, maybe it is what we have been used to eating. So be careful.
Please let me know if it works out. GeoCar What make Bananas bloom. We have a really tall one, culture UNK, and it been growing about 19 months and still nothing(Lots of pups 3+).
