I gave away 8 banana trees, had one left and now I have many sprouts coming up. I hate them - how do I kill them so they won't return?

Dig the entire corm up. Then burn, compost or whatever other revenge you wish to do to the tree. I think the secret is similar to pulling weeds, you have to get the whole corm. If you don't then you are going to get more pups as you have experienced already.

"Round Up" will do the trick. But giving them away is a whole lot better and just of the friends you will make.
What make Bananas bloom. We have a really tall one, culture UNK, and it been growing about 19 months and still nothing(Lots of pups 3+). Also have a lady finger that is about 9 months old.(One pup) Very healthy and both growing great, taller one past the roof line. Want fruit GeoCar

I have a plantation with latez trees, but I also had the problem with the exi9sting banana trees I tried manythings, but 2 days ago we cut the trees as low as possible. Afther that, we make a hole in the centre from every spout and put about 1/2 1 cup diesel (gasoline). This afthernoon we looked a it and believe it or not the spouts al are inside destroid, this give me hope for the next 500 trees.

Kerosine will also do just as well as killing the plant, but you also render the land and soil useless and dead for many many years after the kerosine or diesel has been soaked in.
