nice to hear from you arachnid!!! hey thanks for the heads up. i forgot all about it. i will try to make it on the 28 th. im leaving for spring break either late that day or the next. im going to pensacola fl. might not want to come back. lol. hey can you post a few pics of your green house for cincygirl and for cookiecow? i told them they needed to see you broms and you nana trees. we thought we come hang over here for a while. again thanks the heads up on the lawn and garden show. might have to see what kinds of no- nos they have there. lol.

I was reading about the speakers and trying to figure out what day I wanted to go on! I was telling Ric about it. So far I've gotten a non commital grunt. I was hoping that I'd see something having to do with aquaponics or even hydroponics as then he'd be more interested. Let me know if you think you might make it on the 28th Sam! I'd like to go on the first day also. I'll be the one walking around with the notepad.

Nice to meet you arachnid .. I would love to see your green house!

you might be the one walking around with the notepad...im gonna be the one walking around saying im glad i left the checkbook at home! lol! arachnid...can you post the pics you showed me of your exhib last year? i looked on the site and i cant remember which is yours. cookie...you will be amazed at what this man can do with plants. i just want to walk out with just one of his plants.. yeah right just one...lol

Ive been a couch potatoe is all! LOL

Thanks for the pics Arachnid ! Your plants are beautiful !!

Sam my plants are growingggg! I get a new leaf on my saba about 1 every 1*1/2 week.
My Orinocos (2) are growing , but slower than the saba.

The lil' prince pups (5) look great! They are about 2in high. They look healthy. The Mother plant is dying though!

Iam looking forward to SPRING!!! I Cant wait to see if the basjoo made it through the winter in my front yard!

I love plants!! Wish I were going to nashville with youall!! Have a great time!! Who knows I might make it on the 28th of Feb? Wheres it at exactly?

Hey Deb........did you give the plants the pond water yet? Or give some pond water, others none to see a difference!

I can't wait to see how your basjoo made it through winter also! Ric is only interested in the ornamental nanas that can be perennials and is ok with having to protect them during winter but doesn't have the desire to have fruit like I do. He wants his bath tub back in the winter!

Good idea to water only half with pond water! I'll do that.

cookie basjoo are suppossed to be hardy to -10 *f. i will be covering mine over next winter. i want the p- stem to stay as large as possible. im running out of room!!!!i have had to bring an entertainment center into my den to fit plants in here. i wish spring would hurry up. i need to get some of my nanas out of here...so i can go buy more! . lol

im hoping to. i have spanish 2 from 9am-1020 am that day. im just not really sure. ill know the cloer it gets to the day. the 29th im leaving for 4 days in fl. YEAH!!!!! gonna see if i can pick up a siam ruby down there. and maybe some kind of funky looking plants they dont have in tn. lol. ill have to lyk. happy valentines day, yall!

Depending on where you are going ...you should look for some wild grown tillandsias......=) ...but then again i am a bromeliad geek. Best wishes on your trip.
