Hello,
I have a Super Drawf Cavendish and Drawf Cavendish banana which I want to fruit. I have both these in a greenhouse over the winter. I am in zone 8. I keep the night time temperature in the greenhouse at a constant 13 - 14 degrees. Is this temperature ok for the bananas to produce fruit.
Thanks Niall

I'm assuming you mean Celcius. 13-14 Celcius would be warm enough for most banana to survive the winter for sure, but as far as getting fruit as this tempatures ; unlikley. What is the day time tempature in the greenhouse? and how much sun light do they get now? Then there is the length of the day too that can infulence the plant etc.

Day time temperatures reach around 16 - 18 degrees C (60 - 64 F) on dull cloudy days and can reach around 24C (75F) when the sun is shining. The position of the greenhouse is at the very back south of the garden where it receives full sun when it shines.
