that would not have been the last thing in my yard wacked with the weed eater! he be a dead man walking. for sure! nice nana pics. and i love the palms. wish i had your zone! im the queen of zone de-nile. lol

you got a great deal! you stole those palms. wish we had dealers liike that here. nanas are looking awesome. the 1st week of may mine ego out in the yard. have already been digging holes and have organic compost and manure all ready for the day.

Ms Kitty the count down is only 4 1/2 weeks away. How many are you putting in? What kind? How big? Are you going to get any nanas this season?

i wont put any nana out till the 1st week of may. we had a freak freeze the end of april last year...im not taking chances w/ my nanas. lol! i have 3 dwarf oroniocos( 2 go outside) i have 1 saba( not sure if hes going outside) i have an oronioco( dot know if hell go outside) i have 3 lavander ornatas( 2 will go out) i have 2 bronze ornatas( 1 will go out) i have 3 high color minis musas(2 will go out) i have i lil prince( he will stay potted and go out) i have one dwarf cavadish( he will go out) i have 6-7 basjoos all of these will go out. the pups off of 3 are going to kentucky. some of the nanas i have in my den i have given to a friend and they cant be transported till it warms up outside. so i have about 30 nanas give or take in my den at the present. that doesnt include 3 types of cannas i started from seed, or the ee's (3 ) kinds i have in here , my palms(3 different types) and a lot of other things that will be planted in the yard. lots of work for the 1st week of may, but it will be worth it to see them grow in middle tn.

Ms Kitty I want to see pictures of that banana jungle you are living in. do you have any? I have a visitors photo album you can upload to on my blog . or just post it here but either way it sounds fabulous. I have it so easy were I live. I have much respect for what it must take for you to keep all your babies happy during your winter months. Good Luck on your planting!

i have them, well most of them uploaded in my gallery at the bananas.org. pics of the beds i dont have posted yet because i wanted to wait till i have everything planted.i do have pics in there of what the beds looked like before i started digging. this is my first year growing them and planting outside. so it should be interesting this fall when i get them all ready for winter.
. if you want to go take a look at my gallery. you are more then welcome. just go over there and click the button for photo gallaer( it will be at the top of the page and then go to members gallery and click on "m" for mskitty. youll find my pics there. i havent figured out how to post pics on here yet, besides sending a link. |
