I'm growing four christmas palms from seed in 6 inch pots(roughly). All of them sprouted around 4-18-08 and each of them have two large leaves and range from 4-6 inches tall. My question is when should I fertilize them, and if anyone has any good palm fertilizers they would recommend, and how much I should use at this point. Thanks so much.

You can get palm fertiliser at Home Depot or use 13-13-13. Or Miracle Gro.

As far as fert that is not time release follow the instructions. In fact, I generally use less than it says with those. With Osmocote you can put a bunch on BUT be careful because it does not go away. In fact, it can replace the dirt around the roots and then the plant will die.

It's in a pot or container? I'd just stick with Mircale Gro fert as well as their potting soil. I fixed up a sad fishtail with their dirt. Did more than any fert could ever do.

WOAH WOAH slow down, you don't want to add any kind of hard core fertilizer because it will kill your Christmas palm. The 13-13-13 is ok but I'm talking about 7-3-7. I did some test on my Canary Island Dates and i used 7-3-7 and it didn't help them grow any faster. so just do some research before adding different fertilizers. :)

They will do fine as long as they have well draining soil and some TLC.
