hi there,
got a few questions. been growing banana plants for over a year now, in pots in the uk, and brought them in during the winter. having successfully managed to get rid of the red spider mites they were covered in this spring with some predators (recommended), i bought a couple more plugs this year.
my biggest banana plant has a root (i think for pups?) coming out the bottom - i re-potted this one and think that as i've watered it the soil level has lowered. should this be under the soil and is it gonna produce some pups? i didn't notice it when i re-potted.

also the same plant has some very brown leaves - is this due to the wind? or watering? i occasionally give them potash and mircale grow say once a month in the summer (sorry the pics sideways).

finally, one of the younger plant has pups... when and how do i separate them? should i wait till next spring or do it when i bring them inside for the winter?

thanks,
~miles
