no one has an answer???
Hi, Iam from Chihuahua, Mexico a state located south of the border of Texas, I have 4 banana plants all are related between each other, the biggest ones who measure about 5.5 feet were given to me as a gift in a paint bucket, I transplanted them directly to the soil and they are giving about 4 new leafs each month, the other small one I dug it out of an abandoned garden, and the last one, the tiny one, was born from one of the bigger ones, Iam posting pictures, my questions are, for you guys who are experts, what species of banana are my plants??, will they ever give fruit??, at the bottom of the big one there are two small things kind of leads, growing, in reddish color, what are they??, and must I remove them??, I know are plenty questions but I hope someone can answer me and get me out of the doubts I have, other than that, all my plants are growing exponentially, and without pests, so I supose they are happy !!! here are the pictures:
