Hi guys,
Are there any identifying marks or traits for the Musa Basjoo in order for me to ID one I just bought. The guy i bought it from said he got it from Home Depot and i'm not even sure if they carry the Musa Basjoo. Thanks in advance.

I'm new to the greenhouse thing and have one strictly for the naners. I would like to know whhat type of heater - lights- and air circulation is needed during the winter months. Thanks in advance.
where did you order it from?
I've gotten these on a couple of my trees in the past. I've tried everyting from less/more water-light-air and there is no cure. It's a type of rot that forms for whatever reason - not enough light - too much water? The only luck i've had in dealing with it is to cut the tree back below the spot. The tree will come back over the next month or two- try to get it more light and less water at least during the next couple months.
You may want to check the soil density. After buying my first one I had the same problem and found it was planted with dense soil. I repotted it using the 20% spag moss - 20% perilite with regular soil as directed on the site and now have dozens.
