Banana Growing tips- How to grow banana. » damaged tree care Dec 1, 2007 07:33 PM (Total replies: 0)

I recently got a banana tree from a friend that was in bad shape. now this is my first ever banana tree and I was wondering if it was possible to save it. the leaves were all brown and I cut them back leaving a nice 3-4 foot greenish stalk. the roots seem to be fine too. should I cut it back near the roots and try to start again or let it go and hope it grows some new stuff?
