I live in South Florida, and purchased a small plant a few years ago. It was kept indoors and did not grow any fruit. About a year ago I transplanted it to my front yard and a few months ago it finally grew bananas! They were bright green and each about 4" long, but the landscapers must have cut them off before I got a chance to. Now I noticed more are growing. My questions are: 1. How do I know what type they are? Are all bananas edible? 2. When should they be cut off? Thanks for any help!
