Banana Growing tips- How to grow banana. » help for a weak tree? Apr 1, 2008 03:49 PM (Total replies: 1)

Hi,
I have 2 ice cream banana tress that were both planted 3 ft apart 1 year ago in Tampa. FL. They were both doing great all year. We had a freeze for one day in January. Most of all the leaves died off. Now the one plant is doing great and has 3 bablies. The other plant is barely growing and the leaves on it and her 2 babies are very lightly colored, whitish, and weak. They shear off in the wind. Any ideas on how to help this plant? I have used a standard shrub fertalizer.
Thanks, Jimmy.
