I learned already quite a lot from the discussion in this thread. I recently got a lovely banana plant from a dear friend from the uk via this flower delivery company http://www.serenataflowers.com and after a couple of weaks I had the same problems as you had - brown leaves! Then like a miracle the plant recovered again and is doing great so far! My question now is how often bananas get fruits? I have heard that they only get bananas once in their lifetime, but somehow I can't believe that. Is this really true?
oh, this is quite a neat homepage. Thanks for posting! I have thought about planting bamboo for quite some time now, but I was always afraid that they wouldn't make it in my garden. I guess I'll try now that I know of your good experiences with those plants! :-)
Was it like that from the beginning? Can you really rule out that this was not due to insects, pest or weather?
