Well I hope this helps.
Ok so i have a much more in detailed directions for you to insure your germination :) So this is how it starts if you have a seed that is already pealed from the fruit then your a step up. You want to remove all the fruit pieces as it acts as an inhibitor. If the seed is already peeled then you want to soak the seed or seeds in water make sure to add some bleach or chlorine but only a tad bit, like if you have 8 cups then put half a cup. SO soak the seeds for two days. Change water out once a day. Then what i have used is a glad container. Place soil in the glad container and some drops of water. Then place the seeds on top of the soil. Place a wet piece of paper towel over the seeds for this acts like a layer of soil instead here your not getting messy. so once that is done seal the container and place it in direct sun. Creating a green house effect the seeds should germinate soon. Check on the seeds every other day in case of mold or any kind of bugs around the seed. This should work and good luck to you.
WOAH WOAH slow down, you don't want to add any kind of hard core fertilizer because it will kill your Christmas palm. The 13-13-13 is ok but I'm talking about 7-3-7. I did some test on my Canary Island Dates and i used 7-3-7 and it didn't help them grow any faster. so just do some research before adding different fertilizers. :)
They will do fine as long as they have well draining soil and some TLC.
YES!
I just posted a new topic about seeds storage if you guys want to go check it out to see if anyone wrote on it.
I bought a lot of seeds from here and another site called http://realpalmtrees.com and i was curious if i could store them and where and how long they will last in that stored place? Thanks
Just wanted to SAY HOLA! and Bonjour and yeah :)
Add Mycorrhizal fungi, this fungi helps the roots of your banana tree colonize and span out. It also provides the plant with nutrients and moisture helping it survive under conditions of stress. Your Palm will do just fine.
and windmill!
Yes It is true, it will probably be fine. If it does die, i am 100% sure it will sprout out new commers and you'll have it back if not more. They are cold hardy palms as is but temp that low for long period of time will kill the palm. So relax, it will do just fine.
