It is getting cooler where i live. The daily high is ranging from 70-80 F and the night temp. 55-60 F. I was wondering...if you should bring the plant inside or let it stay outside still. If you think it should stay outside....when do i bring it in. It is the cuban Red banana tree. Thanks
just wondering if the banana leaves kind of like slope down like the spine of the leaf stays the same but the sides slope down kinda creating a upside down V shape. Is the plant fine or is it trying to tell me something of its needs
Alright thanks. i have some pics of the plant and it is a little strange. My initial stalk i had is basically dead and well there is a little green growth as shown in the second pic. It is another banana plant i believe but should i like get rid of the dying one or what. Other question is should that little growth be exposed to 12 hours of sunlight or should i wait til it is older
uhh i planted it about a week ago and i am located in southern IL. i am not sure about the corm but the stem that is present has about an inch of green from dirt up. The rest is a brown color.
Thanks for your reply....looking forward to your next.
I just purchased a banana tree and it is just the roots and corm and a little stem....well i have good drainage soil and good sun light and humidity and it is green by the dirt but is really brown all the way up to the top. Is it dying or is this natural for a newly purchased one and will get better?
