Hello,
I am new to this forum. I have a banana tree that is about eight feet tall from the pot up. I always thought that it was a Cavendish Drawf but, I don't think that they get that tall. When the plant was small the leaves had stripes of wine colored on them. When the leaves got larger the color disappeared. The latest leave is 22" across x 48" long. The base of the trunk is about 7" across. It's been growing for about 16 months now. I live in north central PA and brought it in during the winter where it continued to grow. Can anyone help[ me identify this banana and when it will set a bud? Below is a photo of it.

Thanks Gene
