I recently move a musa basjoo from the corner of my yard where it was not getting quite enough sunlight, into a pot in the house. I did this because I didn't think it would have enough time to reestablish before winter if I kept it outside. But now, though all the other leaves are quite healthy, the newest one to unfold is very soft, week, and a much lighter shade of green. It is in a southern exposer room, with lots of windows, though it has been raining here in Seattle the last few days. Could it be an artificially high temperature combined with not enough light? Or is it more serious than that??
thanks,
Hello all!
I'm new to this site, and quite new to the banana world, too, so will probably have many questions...
I recently purchased 4 little Musa beccarii pups from Ace, and was wondering how best to care for them, especially any informaiton on how hardy they might be (I'm in zone 8). I've looked online, and can find very little info on this banana, though I did find out it's common name is Red Flowering Banana. Any info would be great!!
Thanks a lot!
