I hope I've not been premature with my planting, but how do the roots grow? Straight down or out? I have planted some just a foot or so from concrete pool deck and need to make sure that they won't grow up under the concrete and crack it. If so I need to move them now before they get any older. After I read the post from the person who said theirs was growing under a wall and tearing him I got a little freaked out. My husband will kill me if I have planted something that will tear up the concrete!! Please tell me what you know.
