The above trees are red Banana trees! BANGLE
I have an elevated burm, where I have some bamboo growing. Well drained soil, and I am doing the best I can to make the original topsoil/clay soil in my area better with composts, etc. MY Question: Should I plant these trees (got from large retailer today on sale) in September and expect them to live through the winter. Trying to get privacy with neighbor with fast growing stuff like bamboo, and these trees would look cool on that burm. Any advise? What should I work into the soil when I plant them? Is there any issue if a single white pine drops needles on them, or is this a good thing?
