One of the showiest of the Caesalpinias. Shrubby tree to 50 with grey bark and armed with spikelets. It s 4 fruits and the seeds are edible. The bark has been used as a toothache remedy and the wood makes good charcoal. Produces large yellow flowers in long racemes. For hot, warm zones 9 - 10.Plant at 3/4" depth in well draining soil mix. Keep warm, damp and in bright light.
