The infamous Ylang Ylang tree is known for the perfumed aroma of its blossoms. With age the trunk develops a crooked, contorted shape which adds to the character of the tree. It developse numerous pendant brittle branches laden with soft leathery oblong leaves. Greenish-yellow flowers develop with long drooping, twisted petals with soft leathery texture - intensely fragrant. Must be kept warm.Plant as soon as received. Must have constant warmth with high humidity and bright light. Plant at a depth of 1/2" using soil mixture. Keep damp. Fertilize lightly every 2 weeks with a balanced fertilizer.
