Ginkgo - perhaps the oldest known of all flowering trees. Capable of growing to 130' . A beautiful tree that also happens to be known for the unpleasant smell of the fruits that drop from the female trees. The trunk develops a gray corky bark, and the unique bi-lobed leaves have a delicate fan shape with parallel veining. Can make an excellent bonsai. Temperate zones. Plant at 1" depth in a sand loam mixture. Keep only lightly moist. Bright light.
