| May grow to 5' or as tall as 20'. It is is considered the most recognized helicona and its name of "Lobster Claw" is actually applied to many other of the heliconia. It produces pendulous bracts that are mostly red with prominent yellow lips. Extremely popular. May grow in full sun to 50% shade.Originally found from Amazonian Peru and Ecuador, now widely cultivated around the world. NOT FOR EXPORT. |
