	A beautiful small terrestrial ( grows in soil )orchid that is hardy outdoors to zone 8. It can also be grown in cooler northern zones if mulched over sufficiently during the cold months. Easily grown indoors in bright light. The 1 1/2" flowers are a bright purple-pink with five petals and a dark purple throat which is trilled with light stripes. Its long thin leaves have longitudinal pleats. We have small tubers which are approximately 1" wide. They should be planted in a mixture of coarse sand and loam.
