| This Cedar has proved to be hardy in Massachusetts. It is an important timber tree native to Lebanon, Turkey, and the mountainous ranges of the Taurus reaching heights from 50' - 120', and from it's durable aromatic wood an oil is also extracted. |
Germination for: CEDRUS libani " Cedar of Lebanon "
Plant the seeds at a depth of 1/2" using a mixture of coarse sand ( 20% ) and soil mixture. Keep damp. Grow in bright light - not shade. In cold regions cover with mulch to keep from freezing.
