| Known for its very large fruits which may weigh up to 4 kg (9 lb). It is also one of the more beautiful of the passionflowers as it is ringed with oval white sepals, reddish petals and a center crown with 5 rows of numerous white and purple rays. The flowers are fragrant. It is a robust climber with winged stems and oval leaves. Will require support and space in time. Seeds are harvested at different intervals through the year. You may order at any time and we will send seeds as they are freshly harvested. |
Germination for: PASSIFLORA quadrangularis "Giant Grenadilla"
Plant as soon as received. Depth 3/4" using a soiless mixture. Keep warm and humid at all times. Bright light. Fertilize monthly.
