	Beautiful fern-like foliage. A fast growing tall Brazilian tree that can be pruned to desired size. The 3' leaves are subdivided having 15 paired pinnae and each has 10-30 pairs of oblong leaflets. Needs constant warmth and humidity. The oval shaped seeds are large, flat, have a very hard seed coat and are heavy ( 100 seeds is approximately 8 ounces ). Germination for: SCHIZOLOBIUM parahyba "Tree Fern" or "Bucurubu" Carefully file or nick the outter parameter of the seed to allow moisture entry, then soak the seeds for 4 hours. After soaking plant the seeds at a 3/4" depth using well draining soil mixture with 20% coarse sand added to it. Keep warm and only lightly moist.
