| Australian native known for its thick black trunk to 5' which is topped by a 3' high fountain of grass-like leaves which in turn produce an erect 5' flower spike. Requires constant warmth and full sun. Arid - sub tropic. |
Germination for: XANTHORREA australis "Grass tree"
Must be sown on very well draining soil mixture with 35% coarse sand mixed with it. Requires very bright light and warmth. Seeds will not germinate if kept wet. Can only be lightly moist to nealy dry before moistening. Do not keep soil wet - only lightly mist
