Growing Instructions & Tips: |
| This "dwarf" 2' Protea species develops underground rootstock. Its stiff grey-green leaves spiral around the branches. The flowers are 3" across and have a mass of very small white spikes in the center surrounded by bright pink flowering bracts. |
Germination for: PROTEA simplex
Cover at 1/4" depth with well-rotted compost ( sifted ), and coarse sand. Keep damp - not wet. Requires fresh air and bright light -- increase to full sun gradually after germantion. Ideal pH 5.0 - 5.5. Avoid high humidity.
