Growing Instructions & Tips: |
| The nectar from this protea was used by South African colonists as a sweetener. The flower bracts are cream colored with the upper portions pink while the bracts are 3" wide and 5" in height with laurel type leaves. Mature height may reach 9'. |
Germination for: PROTEA repens "Sugarbush"
Cover at 1/4" depth with well-rotted compost ( sifted ), and coarse sand. Keep damp - not wet. Requires fresh air and bright light - increase to full sun gradually after germantion. Ideal pH 5.0 - 5.5. Avoid high humidity.
