Native to Australia where it is a popular street tree which becomes enhancedwith bright seeds pods - usually orange. It is a fast growing shade tree to 30' with compound, alternate leaves. Flowers are greenish / yellow to red with a furry center and 5 petals arranged in panicles emerging from the leaf axils. The fruits are yellow to orange/red capsules containing black ovoid seeds. For warm zones 9b - 10.
