| This 18' ornamental tree from China is hardy to zone 7. Leaves are simple - alternate, sharp hooked spines on branches;flowers are greenish-yellow, produces small 1" brown fruit with a broad wing-like rim surrounding it. A relative of the Zizyphus trees. |

Seeds have been stratified. Plant at a 1" depth in soil mixture. Keep damp, and in bright.
