Growing Instructions & Tips: |
| Handsome tree found throughout most of India. The tree becomes laden with glabrous 4 1/2" lanceolate leaves. Numerous small purple flowers occur in panicles to 8" length followed by marble size seeds. These "soap seeds" contain a pulp which lathers with hot water and is used in washing. The tree grows to 30' in warmer regions but to 6" in the cooler regions. Our packet size is 6 seeds. |
Germination for: SAPINDUS mukorossi "Soap Tree"
Plant as soon as received using well draining soil mixture. Plant at 1" depth. Keep warm, moist and in bright light.
