| A beautiful deciduous large leaved tropical tree. The dried fleshy fruits contain saponin which is a good soap substitute. It is used as a washing soap, in detergents, shampoos, etc. The large seeds are equal to a medium size marble. Weight of 10 seeds = 1 oz. 100 seeds = 1 lb. |
Germination for: SAPINDUS detergens "Soapnut Tree"
Soak the seeds overnight. Plant at a depth of 1" using soil mixture. Keep warm, damp and in bright light.
